About Us
I, Rigzin, started Himalayan Dragon Tours & Travels in 2008, after working as guide in Ladakh for five years.
I am from Zanskar
but have been educated in different places in India, including the Tibetan Children’s Village Schools (TCV) in Leh and Bylakuppe and universities in India.
My appreciation for my roots in Zanskar has grown over my life. Due to its remote location, Zanskar has been very isolated and was only opened to foreigners in 1974. Since then it has become a tourist destination, but its culture and traditions remain unchanged. My family still lives there and i am deeply connected to this place.
